I visited Dr. B.L. Pattnayak for PCOS treatment, and I had a very concerning experience. To begin with, she dismissed PCOD as "not a disease" and brushed it off casually. Then she said she would order some tests. I mentioned that I hadn’t had my period for the past three months, but she still refused to prescribe any medication at that time. Later, despite telling her that I have no history of diabetes and that my blood sugar levels usually run low (around 70–75 randomly), she still prescribed me diabetes tests. What’s more shocking is that she gave me diabetes medication—1000 mg—for three months before seeing any test results. She also prescribed medication for depression, even though I have never shown signs of it and clearly told her that. When I asked her what the medicines were for, she **misled** me. She told me one of the pills was for weight control (which was actually for diabetes), and the other was an Ayurvedic medicine (which turned out to be for clinical depression). This kind of dishonesty is extremely dangerous. Thankfully, I decided to double-check everything at home. I learned that none of these medications were appropriate for my condition. I only have PCOD, and all lab tests later confirmed that I do not have diabetes. I shudder to think what could have happened if I had taken those unnecessary and inappropriate medicines. I strongly **do not recommend this doctor. Please don’t put your health or life in her hands without double-checking everything she prescribes.
