About Hospital
Shree Kandivali Hitwardhak Mandal Hospital, a charitable trust, started in a one-storied building with a terrace, in 1934, with a vision to serve and help the common man in and around Kandivali, Mumbai. It started with a Stree Mandal, a small Ayurvedic dispensary, and a newspaper reading room. As time passed, the visionary trustees of the Trust felt the need of providing affordable and quality health care to the common man irrespective of caste, creed, and faith. This vision resulted in an Eye hospital on the added second floor in 1983. Today it’s a full-fledged Eye hospital having all its specialties. It is a full-fledged 24x7 multispeciality hospital with 9 bedded ICU, and 29 bedded wards, the dialysis unit was expanded to 11 bedded Day Care unit and provides complete diagnostic facilities like Pathology, Sonography, 2DEcho, Stress test, Mammography, X-ray, ECG, EEG, PFT, etc. They have daily OPDs of Physiotherapy, Dental, and all specialty and super specialty OPDs. KHM Hospital has 140 consultants (MD, MS. DM, Mch) on Panel. They treat approximately around 2.5 to 3 lakhs patients per year.
