RTIICS provides care across 40+ clinical specialties. Key areas include:

Cardiac Sciences & Transplantation: Adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries, interventional cardiology and heart failure management are available.

RTIICS pioneered IVUS-guided angioplasty in Eastern India. Its multi-organ transplant centre performs heart, liver and kidney transplants. Cardiac surgery success rates exceed 99%.

Neurosciences: Brain pacemaker surgery for advanced Parkinson’s disease and epilepsy surgery are offered. RTIICS is the only centre in Eastern India providing this service.

Other services include minimal access spine surgery and endovascular treatment for stroke, carotid stenosis, brain aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations.

Gastroenterology and Liver Sciences: Services include medical and surgical gastroenterology, hepato-pancreatico-biliary surgery, bariatric surgery, EUS and ERCP. The centre also specialises in GI oncology.

Renal Sciences: Kidney transplants are performed here, and the Narayana Health network has completed over 7,000 renal transplants. A 34-bed dialysis unit serves patients with chronic kidney disease. Robotic techniques are also used.

Oncology Services: Medical, surgical and radiation oncology are available. Versa HD technology is used for radiation therapy, and a molecular oncology laboratory handles cancer diagnostics.

Orthopaedic Surgery: The hospital runs one of Eastern India’s largest orthopaedic programmes, covering joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, spine surgery, trauma care and paediatric orthopaedics. Robotic-assisted procedures are also available.

RTIICS Hospital Facilities and Infrastructure

Hospital Capacity: RTIICS has 681 beds across specialities and 16 operation theatres, 6 of them exclusively for cardiac surgeries. Critical care has 170 beds. The emergency department has 29 beds and 5 negative isolation rooms.

Cardiac and Interventional Services: There are five catheterisation laboratories, and the FD 20 laboratory is dedicated to interventional radiology. Non-invasive cardiology tests include ECG, ECHO (2D, 3D, stress, colour Doppler), TMT, Holter monitoring, tilt table testing and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.

Diagnostic and Imaging Services: Imaging includes 3.0 Tesla MRI, 64-slice CT, SPECT-CT, colour Doppler and digital X-ray. Neurological and other tests include EEG, video EEG, ENMG, audiometry and uroflowmetry.

Laboratory and Blood Services: The laboratory is NABL-accredited. The blood bank is NABH-accredited and uses ID-NAT (nucleic acid testing) for safety.

Specialised Care Units: The hospital has a labour suite with an obstetric ward and neonatal nursery, and dedicated HDU wards for neurology, gastroenterology and orthopaedic patients. Endoscopy and colonoscopy suites are available. Emergency and trauma services are supported by ALS and BLS ambulances.
