I lost my father to negligence and greed yesterday - 24th March 2025. My father was admitted to KIMS hospital for COPD and swelling in the feet and face, in the normal room. He was getting a discharge on 22nd March since he wasn’t happy with their treatment. Late night on 22nd, I got a call that he was in respiratory distress and was moved to RICU. The doctor on phone was expectionally rude and judgemental. Kept asking about 25,000 which I need to pay immediately. Between 11 pm and 6 am, I got 7-8 calls saying I need to approve tests, expenses, his shift to the big ICU and intubation. I agreed to everything. On reaching hospital on 23rd morning, I met with the pulmonologist in ICU who told me that he was critical but was being managed with antibiotics for a chest ingestion which he picked up in the hospital. He was awake then but mildly sedated. The pulmonologist said he cannot be sedated further or tested or treated with more medication because it would impact his body. In the afternoon, I met a Dr. Aishwarya. She’s a PG - a kid, taking decisions in the ICU. She asked me to buy a medication called SepsiVac for his lung infection. I questioned because the pulmonologist had a different opinion. She and her colleague persisted - I asked for approval from pulmo. She got the case transferred to Emergency medicine and asked me to purchase the injections. She GAVE ME HER VENDOR LOKESH’s CONTACT FOR THREE INJECTIONS. Called him personally to source the injections. Each cost me 5,500. I saw my father that evening. He was heavily sedated, cold. They said “we paralysed him because he was agitated”. That evening Dr Aishwarya pushed for injections again. Her colleague even said there was no sepsis and no injections are required. But she persisted. The vendor asked me to come 500 mtrs from the hospital, as also mentioned by Dr Aishwarya. He can’t come inside to give meds. I bought and paid. I asked the vendor if there were any risks to people with comorbidities - he said no. I asked Dr Aishwarya that “I hope this injection won’t kill him” and she said no. Next morning my father was dead. Then the maid, security, ward boys, everyone got in line to ask for more money to do their basic jobs. While the hospital administration is doing their enquiry, I request every one reading this, tell everyone you know. Don’t enter KIMS. In two days there, I saw 4 people dying in ICU. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES THERE. It’s a racket just to make money. I lost my father, atleast you protect your family.
