The ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) card itself does not provide free treatment or health insurance coverage. It is a digital health ID that helps store and access your medical records electronically.

If you are eligible under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY, you may receive cashless treatment at PM-JAY empanelled hospitals. PM-JAY and ABHA are two different initiatives.

Is Treatment Possible Under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY?

Yes, if

• The patient is eligible under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY

• The hospital is PM-JAY empanelled

• The treatment is medically necessary

• The required PM-JAY package approval is obtained

Then the approved treatment may be provided on a cashless basis.

What Is the Process?
