Namaste Angad ji,

Aapne bataya ki aapki mummy ji ko kamar mein bahut zyada dard hota hai, jo ki ek common samasya hai lekin kabhi-kabhi ye serious problem bhi ho sakti hai. Sahi diagnosis aur timely treatment zaroori hota hai taaki dard se rahat mil sake.

Kamar Dard ke Sambhav Kaaran:

  • Lumbar spondylosis ya kamar ke joints ki problem

  • Slip disc ya disc bulge

  • Calcium/Vitamin D ki kami

  • Muscle strain ya galat posture

  • Kidney infection (agar dard ek taraf ho aur urine mein dikkat ho)

Helpful Tips & Precautions:

  • Achanak jhukna aur jhatka dena avoid karein

  • Zyada wajan na uthayein, especially floor se

  • Firm mattress par soyen – soft bed se support nahi milta

  • Garam paani se sek (hot compress) din mein 1-2 baar karein

  • Seedha baithna aur lumbar support lena bahut zaroori hai

  • Halka phulka yoga jaise Bhujangasana ya Makarasana – sirf doctor ki salah se

  • Calcium aur Vitamin D ka level check karwayein – zarurat ho to supplement lein

  • Lambi der tak baithna ya letna avoid karein – thoda chalna-phirna jaruri hota hai

👉 Important: Agar dard 1–2 hafte mein kam nahi hota ya pair mein sunpan, jalan, ya weakness mehsoos ho to turant doctor se consult karein – ho sakta hai X-ray ya MRI ki zarurat ho.

Ayushman Card se Free Treatment kaise milega?

Haan ji, agar mummy ji ke paas Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) Card hai to aap empanelled hospital mein free treatment ka labh le sakte hain – ismein consultation, test aur zarurat padne par surgery bhi shaamil ho sakti hai.

✅ Hospital list dekhne ke liye yeh link par jayein:

Hello Monika ji,

Thank you for reaching out. We truly understand how concerning it is to see your mother struggle to walk. If she’s experiencing severe knee pain or immobility, Total Knee Replacement (TKR) can be a very effective and safe solution—especially when conservative treatments are no longer helping.

When is TKR Surgery Recommended?

TKR is advised when:

  • There's severe joint damage or arthritis (especially osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis)

  • Pain, stiffness, or swelling affects daily activities

  • There’s a reduced quality of life due to limited mobility

  • Walking, sitting, or standing becomes painful or nearly impossible

Advanced Knee Replacement Techniques Available Today

Many hospitals now offer:

  • Minimally invasive TKR: Smaller cuts, less muscle damage

  • Robotic-assisted knee replacement: Improved precision, faster healing

  • Customised implants: Designed based on your mother’s anatomy for better comfort and function

  • High-flex implants: Better range of motion for active patients

These methods often result in:

  • Faster recovery

  • Less post-op pain

  • Reduced hospital stay

  • Better long-term joint movement

Post-Surgery Recovery: What to Expect

  • Hospital stay of 3–5 days (in most cases)

  • Walking (with support) starts within 24–48 hours

  • Full recovery in 6–12 weeks with regular physiotherapy

  • Improved joint function and a significant reduction in pain

How HexaHealth Can Help You With Knee Replacement in Delhi?

  • Book a consultation with top orthopaedic surgeons in Delhi

  • Guide you to hospitals with the latest TKR technology

  • Assist with cashless surgery under insurance or Ayushman Bharat

  • Help with EMI options, second opinions, and post-op care

Let us know your preferred location or if your mother already has test reports—we’re here to support you through the entire process.

Wishing her strength, healing, and a comfortable recovery!

Dr. Rudrani DholeExpert

Hello Diwakar Ji,

Thank you for your query. An intertrochanteric fracture (a type of hip fracture common in older adults) typically requires surgical treatment, such as internal fixation with a plate, screw, or intramedullary nail. The good news is that this condition is covered under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY)—but only if your ABHA card is linked to Ayushman eligibility.

Is Intertrochanteric Fracture Covered in ABHA?

  • The ABHA card (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is not an insurance card by itself.

  • However, if you are a PM-JAY beneficiary (Ayushman cardholder) and your ABHA card is linked, then treatment for an intertrochanteric fracture is covered under the scheme.

Treatment Coverage Includes:

  • Hospitalization expenses

  • Surgery (internal fixation/ORIF)

  • Implants and prosthetics (as per standard Ayushman packages)

  • Post-operative care and medications during hospital stay

How to Confirm Eligibility Under Ayushman Bharat and Get Treated?

  1. Visit a PM-JAY empanelled hospital in Navi Mumbai

  2. Carry your ABHA card, Aadhaar card, and previous X-rays or medical records

  3. Hospital’s Ayushman help desk will verify your eligibility

  4. If approved, treatment will be cashless

You can check the empanelled hospitals here:

Need Help?

HexaHealth can assist you in:

  • Finding the best hospital for orthopaedic surgery

  • Booking consultations or second opinions

  • Coordinating insurance approvals and surgery

Hello Zulfikar Ji,

Thank you for your message. A broken collarbone (clavicle fracture), especially if it's displaced or severely fractured, often requires surgery to ensure proper healing and restore full shoulder function.

Line of Treatment for Collarbone Fracture

  1. Clinical Evaluation and Imaging:

    • X-ray or CT scan to assess fracture type, displacement, and bone alignment

    • Based on the result, your doctor will decide between non-surgical (for mild cases) and surgical options

  2. Surgical Treatment (if required):

    • Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF):

      • A common surgery where the bone is realigned and fixed using plates and screws

    • Helps achieve faster recovery, better shoulder movement, and lower risk of deformity or non-union

Next Steps:

  • Visit an orthopaedic or trauma specialist for a physical examination and  X-ray

  • Discuss surgery timing, anaesthesia, recovery period, and cost

  • Get a pre-surgery evaluation (blood tests, ECG, etc.)

Precautions Before Shoulder Fracture Surgery

  • Avoid food or water for 6–8 hours before surgery (as advised by your doctor)

  • Stop any blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin) 5–7 days prior, if advised.

  • Share full medical history—especially if you have diabetes, high BP, or allergies.

  • Get all required blood tests, ECG, and chest X-ray done before the procedure.

  • Arrange for someone to accompany you on the day of surgery

Precautions After Shoulder Fracture Surgery

  • Wear a sling or shoulder immobiliser as advised

  • Avoid lifting, driving, or heavy movements for a few weeks

  • Start physiotherapy after 2–3 weeks to regain strength and mobility

  • Follow-up visits to check bone healing via X-rays

How HexaHealth Can Help You?

  • Connect you with the best orthopaedic surgeons in Noida

  • Assist with X-rays, second opinions, and hospital booking

  • Help with insurance approval, cost transparency, and EMI options if needed

  • Support with post-surgery rehab and physiotherapy scheduling

Wishing you a successful recovery. Let us know if you'd like to book a consultation or need help understanding your treatment options.

Hello Chanchal Ji,

We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing joint and muscle pain for the past 3–4 months. When such pain continues for weeks or months, it's important to identify the root cause so you can get proper relief.

Possible Causes of Long-Term Joint and Muscle Pain

  • Vitamin D or B12 deficiency – very common and causes body aches and fatigue

  • Arthritis – especially osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis

  • Post-viral fatigue, like after COVID or other infections

  • Hypothyroidism can cause stiffness, fatigue, and swelling

  • Fibromyalgia or age-related wear and tear

What You Should Do To Relieve Joint and Muscle Pain?

  1. Get some basic tests done – like Vitamin D, B12, thyroid, ESR, and CRP

  2. Consult an orthopaedic or rheumatologist

  3. Use warm compresses, do gentle stretches, and avoid long sitting

  4. Maintain a balanced diet rich in calcium and protein

Wishing you strength, comfort, and a smooth recovery ahead!

Hi Jawahar,

Cramping in your legs and pain in your back can be caused by several factors. Here are a few possible causes:

  1. Varicose veins – Poor blood flow causes leg cramps and discomfort.

  2. Sciatica – Irritation of the sciatic nerve, leading to pain in the lower back and radiating down the leg.

  3. Muscle fatigue or dehydration – Leading to leg cramps, especially after long periods of standing or physical activity.

  4. Spinal issues – Disc problems or nerve compression in the lower back can cause back and leg pain.

  5. Circulation issues – Poor circulation can lead to cramping and pain, especially in the legs.

If you’ve already been diagnosed with varicose veins or sciatica, here’s who you should consult based on the diagnosis:

  • Varicose veins: Consult a vascular surgeon.

  • Sciatica or back pain: You should see an orthopaedic doctor or neurologist.

Precautions

  • Avoid prolonged standing or sitting.

  • Elevate your legs when resting to improve circulation.

  • Practice gentle stretching exercises to relieve cramps.

  • Stay hydrated to prevent muscle cramps.

  • Maintain a healthy weight to reduce strain on your back.

Next Steps

  • Follow up with your doctor for a comprehensive treatment plan.

  • If needed, undergo imaging tests (like an MRI for sciatica or an ultrasound for varicose veins).

  • Consider physical therapy if recommended.

Wishing you relief and better health ahead! Would you like help finding a specialist or hospital in Mumbai?

Dr. Rudrani DholeExpert

Dear Shellyka,

Thank you for sharing your MRI reports — We’ve reviewed them in detail, and here’s a clear explanation of what they indicate:

🩺 MRI Findings Summary:

  • You have mild degenerative disc changes in your lower spine (lumbar region).

  • A disc bulge at the L5-S1 level is pressing on the nerve roots on both sides (bilateral foraminal encroachment).

  • This can explain your symptoms—back pain radiating to arms, weakness in legs, and tailbone discomfort.

What This Means Medically: The disc bulge is likely compressing nerves that travel to your lower limbs, which may be causing the weakness and radiating pain. This condition is common and treatable.

✅ Next Steps for Treatment:

  1. Consult a spine specialist (orthopaedic or neurosurgeon)

  2. Treatment options may include:

    • Medication for inflammation and nerve pain

    • Physiotherapy to strengthen back and core muscles

    • Posture correction, lifestyle changes, and weight management (if needed)

    • Epidural injections or minimally invasive procedures, if pain is persistent

    • Surgery is only performed in rare, severe, or non-responsive cases

💬 How HexaHealth Can Help You:

  • Connect you with the best spine specialists in Ludhiana or nearby cities

  • Arrange a second opinion consultation

  • Assist with insurance-based treatment options

Your condition is manageable with proper medical guidance, and most patients recover well without surgery if treated early.

Please don’t delay

Dear Tarak ji,

We understand that despite following your doctor's advice — including X-ray, MRI, medications, and IFT (Interferential Therapy) — you're still experiencing severe pain in the upper left leg. Based on this, your doctor has recommended Endoscopic Spine Surgery (ESS), which is a minimally invasive procedure often used for conditions like slipped disc, nerve compression, or sciatica that haven't improved with non-surgical treatment.

What is ESS (Endoscopic Spine Surgery)?

ESS is a minimally invasive procedure where a small camera (endoscope) is inserted through a tiny incision to treat the affected area of the spine. It causes less tissue damage, faster recovery time, and usually leads to less post-operative pain than traditional surgery.

Best hospitals in Kolkata for Endoscopic Spine Surgery

  1. NH Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Mukundapur

  2. Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Mukundapur

  3. Manipal Hospital (formerly AMRI Dhakuria), Dhakuria

These hospitals have advanced neurosurgery/orthopaedics departments with experienced spine surgeons skilled in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine procedures.

Next steps you can consider

  • Share your MRI report with a spine specialist or neurosurgeon for a second opinion if needed

  • Discuss cost, insurance or Ayushman coverage if eligible

If you'd like, the HexaHealth team can help you:

  • Find the best ESS surgeon near you

  • Book appointments or assist with hospital comparison

  • Check for cashless insurance or Ayushman Bharat scheme options

Feel free to reach out with more details — we're here to support you.

Wishing you a pain-free recovery soon!

Top hospitals in Kolkata for spine surgery:

  1. NH Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences – Mukundapur

  2. Medica Superspecialty Hospital – Mukundapur

  3. Manipal Hospital (formerly AMRI Dhakuria) – Dhakuria

These hospitals have advanced neurosurgery and orthopaedic spine departments offering minimally invasive and conventional spine procedures.

A few important things to understand about spine surgery:

  • Spine surgery is usually advised when non-surgical treatments (like physiotherapy and medications) fail to relieve symptoms such as severe back pain, leg pain, numbness, or mobility issues.

  • Common spine issues requiring surgery include: slipped disc (herniated disc), spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, or spine fractures.

  • Types of spine surgeries include: discectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion, and minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS).

  • Your doctor will first evaluate your MRI, X-rays, and physical condition before recommending the right surgical option.

Hello Vishal,

We're sorry to hear about your accident. We hope you're recovering well.

Firstly, based on your description — fractured ribs and fluid in the lung (possibly pleural effusion) — it's important to consider the following:

🔹 Questions for you:

  • Have you been admitted to a hospital, or are you managing this at home?

  • Are you experiencing difficulty in breathing, chest pain, or fever?

Based on general guidelines, here's the usual treatment and precautions:

🔹 Immediate Treatment:

  • Pain Management: Adequate pain control is essential (usually with analgesics or sometimes nerve blocks) to allow proper breathing and avoid lung infections.

  • Monitoring the Lung Fluid:

    • Small amounts of fluid may resolve on their own with observation.

    • Large or worsening fluid collections might need drainage (thoracentesis or chest tube insertion).

  • Breathing Exercises: Deep breathing and incentive spirometry are recommended to prevent pneumonia and lung collapse.

🔹 Precautions for Healing:

  • Avoid heavy lifting, sudden movements, or straining.

  • Rest adequately, but do gentle breathing exercises daily.

  • Monitor for signs of complications:

    • Increased chest pain

    • Difficulty in breathing

    • Fever (could indicate infection)

  • Attend regular follow-ups and imaging as advised by your doctor.

🔹 General Recovery Plan:

  • Rib fractures usually heal in 6–8 weeks.

  • The fluid collection must initially be reassessed by imaging every few days.

  • Physical therapy may be started once you are stable to maintain lung and chest wall function.

⚕️ Important:
If you feel increased breathlessness, sharp chest pain, a cough with blood, or fever, seek emergency medical attention immediately.

Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery! 🌟

Thank you for reaching out to the HexaHealth community.

Since Kidwai Cancer Hospital, Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, and St. John’s are government or charitable institutions, the cost of treatment — including surgeries — is usually heavily subsidised or offered at minimal charges. However, we won’t be able to help with the exact cost details for treatments in these hospitals, as they operate under different guidelines than private hospitals and may vary case by case.

Namaskar Syed Abbas ji,

Aapne GCT (Giant Cell Tumor) ke baare mein jo bataya, usse related aapki chinta hum samajh sakte hain. GCT ek tarah ka bone tumour hota hai, jo zyadatar ghutne ke neeche (jaise tibia ya femur) develop hota hai.

Surgery kyun zaroori hoti hai?

GCT generally non-cancerous hota hai, lekin yeh aggressive tareeke se badh sakta hai aur bone ko weak kar sakta hai. Isliye doctors aksar surgery ki salah dete hain jisme tumour ko remove karke bone graft ya metal implant ka use kiya jata hai.

Surgery ki cost kya ho sakti hai?

Cost kai factors par depend karti hai jaise:

  • Hospital ka type (Government, Private ya Trust)

  • Surgery kitni complex hai

  • Implant ya bone graft ka requirement

  • Admission aur recovery ka duration

  • Aapka health insurance cover karta hai ya nahi

  • Medical loan ya EMI options available hain ya nahi

🔹 Aam taur par is surgery ki cost ₹80,000 se start ho sakti hai.
👉 Lekin exact cost sirf doctor ki consultation aur proper examination ke baad hi batayi ja sakti hai.

✅ HexaHealth aapke liye Bangalore ke top surgeons aur hospitals se consultation fix karwa sakta hai.
✅ Agar aapke paas health insurance hai, to hum aapka cashless claim process karne mein bhi madad karte hain.
✅ Humare paas 0% interest wali medical finance facility bhi hai, jisse aap apna kharcha aasan monthly EMIs mein de sakte hain.
