Cardiac Treatments Covered Under ECHS

Depending on the patient's medical condition and the treating Cardiologist's recommendation, ECHS may cover :

• Consultation with an experienced Cardiologist

• Coronary Angiography

• Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) with medically indicated stent(s)

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)

• Pacemaker implantation

• Heart valve repair or replacement, when medically indicated

• ICU admission, if required

• Diagnostic investigations such as ECG, 2D Echocardiography (Echo), TMT, Holter Monitoring, and other medically required cardiac tests

• Medicines, consumables, nursing care, and hospital stay during hospitalization

• Follow-up care as per ECHS guidelines

The treating Cardiologist will first evaluate the patient through clinical examination and required investigations. Based on the diagnosis, the doctor will decide whether medicines, angioplasty, CABG, pacemaker implantation, or another cardiac procedure is the most appropriate treatment.
