Hello,
Yes, the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) provides cashless coverage for cardiac treatments, including angioplasty, at ECHS empanelled hospitals. Coverage is available for ECHS beneficiaries after verification of eligibility and approval as per ECHS guidelines.
Depending on the patient's medical condition and the treating Cardiologist's recommendation, ECHS may cover :
Consultation with an experienced Cardiologist
Coronary Angiography
Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) with medically indicated stent(s)
Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
Pacemaker implantation
Heart valve repair or replacement, when medically indicated
ICU admission, if required
Diagnostic investigations such as ECG, 2D Echocardiography (Echo), TMT, Holter Monitoring, and other medically required cardiac tests
Medicines, consumables, nursing care, and hospital stay during hospitalization

Aadhaar Card or other identity proof, if required
Cardiologist's prescription
