Best surgeon Our journey has been extremely Hard. What we saw and what kind of situations we went through in the past 14 months is something I cannot even fully explain. After our daughter’s birth, she did not pass stool within 24 hours. For her diagnosis, starting from the very next day of her birth, we had to change three hospitals. At that time, our situation was very bad. Later, we understood that SRCC Hospital in Mumbai was good, so immediately at night we shifted her to Mumbai by ambulance. After one month, a biopsy test was done, and it was confirmed that she had Hirschsprung’s disease. Based on the advice of many doctors, we went to Wadia Children’s Hospital, where the first-stage operation for Hirschsprung’s disease was done on 13th March. After the operation, a stoma was taken out from her large intestine. We were seeing all this for the first time, and because of that, we were extremely scared We stayed there for 15 days. Later, for the closure surgery, she was admitted again on 29th July. That operation lasted for 12 hours. During that surgery, the doctors made some mistakes—we were aware of it. They gave inconsistent reasons, saying that the stapler was faulty. For 12 hours, I, my wife, and her mother were outside the operation theatre. It was a very terrifying situation that I cannot even describe in words. Our 7-month-old daughter underwent a major surgery, which was mishandled, and a stoma was taken out from her small intestine. It was extremely bad. We survived in that hospital for 18 days. Even today, when we think about that experience, we cannot sleep at night, and tears come to my eyes. After that, we decided that we would not go back to Wadia Children’s Hospital. We started searching for a good doctor in Pune. While searching, we heard the name of Dr. Adarsh Hegade Sir directly from 3 to 4 different people. When my wife and I met Sir for the first time, we could not control our tears. In that very first meeting, we were confident that no matter how wrong the previous surgery was, Dr. Adarsh Hegade Sir would definitely solve it. Sir studied our case thoroughly, going to the root of the problem. He even took all the information from Wadia Hospital and corrected everything that had been messed up by the doctors there. Sir, I really do not know how to thank you. I will say only one thing— for my daughter’s treatment, I truly believe that God exists, and I saw Him in you. Thank you, Sir.
