Yes. Coronary angiography (CAG) and angioplasty is  covered under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY.

How to Check a PM-JAY Hospital

Follow these steps:

1. Open the official PM-JAY hospital search portal.

2. Select your state.

3. Select your district.

4. Choose the hospital type, if required.

5. Search the exact hospital name.

6. Check that the hospital is currently empanelled under PM-JAY.

7. Check whether cardiology services are available.

Documents Required

Keep these documents ready :

• Ayushman Bharat/PM-JAY card or e-card

• Aadhaar card or valid identity proof

• Cardiologist's prescription or recommendation

• ECG report

• Echocardiography report, if available

• TMT report, if performed

• Previous CAG/angiography reports, if any

• Blood-test reports

• Previous discharge summaries

• Other medical records and current medicines list

If CAG is being advised for the first time, you do not need to arrange every cardiac test privately beforehand. Visit the empanelled hospital with your available records and let the cardiologist decide which investigations are required.

CAG vs Angioplasty

CAG is primarily a diagnostic procedure used to identify blockages in the coronary arteries. Angioplasty is a treatment used to open a significant narrowed or blocked artery. The hospital should confirm the applicable PM-JAY package and whether the procedure, stent and related hospital services are covered in your particular case.
