What are the symptoms and treatment for Hepatitis A and liver damage?

Aapki maa ko Hepatitis A ke saath jaundice hua hai, to naturally family ko tension hoti hai. Lekin Hepatitis A usually short-term infection hota hai aur zyada tar patients dheere-dheere completely recover kar lete hain. Ismein liver ko recovery ke liye time aur proper care dena bahut important hai.

Kya treatment hota hai?

Hepatitis A ke liye generally koi specific antiviral medicine nahi hoti. Treatment mainly supportive hota hai :

• Proper rest lein aur body ko recovery ka time dein.

• Paani, ORS aur other healthy fluids adequate quantity mein dein, especially agar weakness, vomiting ya loose motions hain.

• Light aur balanced diet lein. Chhote portions mein baar-baar khana easier ho sakta hai.

• Doctor ke regular follow-up mein rahen aur liver function tests (LFT) doctor ki advice ke according repeat karwayein.

• Koi bhi medicine, painkiller, herbal medicine ya supplement apne aap start na karein, kyunki kuch medicines liver par extra load daal sakti hain.

Kya precautions rakhein?

• Alcohol bilkul avoid karein.

• Bahut oily/fried food agar nausea ya vomiting badhata hai to avoid karein.

• Doctor se pooche bina medicines na dein.

• Bathroom use karne ke baad aur khana banane/khane se pehle soap se hands achhe se wash karein.

• Maa ke liye alag food preparation aur hygiene ka dhyan rakhein, kyunki Hepatitis A contaminated food/water aur close contact se spread ho sakta hai.

Kab turant hospital le jana chahiye?

Agar maa ko bahut zyada neend ya confusion ho, baar-baar vomiting ho aur fluids na ruk rahe hon, bleeding ho, pet bahut swell ho raha ho, jaundice rapidly badh raha ho, ya condition suddenly worse ho rahi ho, to turant hospital/emergency care lein. Severe Hepatitis A mein rare cases mein acute liver failure ho sakta hai.

Aap himmat rakhein. Hepatitis A mein recovery ko thoda time lag sakta hai, lekin most people completely recover karte hain aur ye chronic hepatitis nahi banta.
