Description
Disk problem and some more like kidney issues or blood infection or high sugar etc
Hello,
When a person has a disc problem along with kidney problems, a blood infection, and high blood sugar, it is important to get the conditions assessed together. These problems can affect each other, especially when there is an active infection or poorly controlled diabetes. The right treatment depends on the exact diagnosis and test results.
Please arrange a medical evaluation soon, preferably with a physician/internal medicine doctor. Depending on the findings, you may also need an orthopaedic/spine specialist, nephrologist, or infectious disease specialist.
The doctor advise :
Blood sugar testing, including fasting sugar and HbA1c
Complete blood count and kidney function tests
Urine tests and urine culture
Blood culture if a blood infection is suspected
Kidney ultrasound or other imaging if required
X-ray or MRI of the spine for the disc problem, depending on symptoms
Review of all current medicines to make sure they are safe for the kidneys
Treatment will depend on the cause and severity :
A disc problem may be managed with prescribed medicines, physiotherapy, activity modification and exercises. Some severe cases may require a procedure or surgery.
A kidney problem needs treatment based on whether it is an infection, stone, reduced kidney function, or another condition.
A confirmed blood infection needs prompt medical treatment. Antibiotics should be selected by a doctor, sometimes based on blood culture results.
High blood sugar needs proper diabetes management through diet, physical activity and prescribed medicines or insulin when required.
Do not take painkillers or antibiotics on your own. Some pain medicines can be harmful to the kidneys, particularly when kidney function is already reduced.
Take prescribed medicines exactly as advised.
Keep blood sugar under regular monitoring.
Drink the amount of fluid recommended by your doctor. Do not force large amounts of water if you have kidney or heart problems.
Avoid alcohol and smoking.
Reduce excess salt, sugar and processed foods.
Do not use herbal or over-the-counter medicines without checking with your doctor.
Avoid heavy lifting and movements that worsen the back pain.
Keep all previous reports and medication details ready for the doctor.
Go to a hospital immediately if there is high or persistent fever with chills, confusion or unusual sleepiness, difficulty breathing, very low blood pressure, repeated vomiting, severe weakness, very little urine, severe back pain with fever, or rapidly worsening condition.
For a disc problem, new leg weakness, inability to walk, numbness around the inner thighs/genital area, or loss of bladder or bowel control also requires urgent medical attention.
Because you mentioned a possible blood infection together with kidney problems and high sugar, please don't rely only on home remedies. An active infection can become serious, particularly when blood sugar is high, so getting examined promptly is the safest approach.
Wishing you and your family good health always.
Warm regards,
Team HexaHealth
