If by “TORS” you mean Transoral Robotic Surgery, the coverage should be checked separately. The fact that oral cancer surgery is covered does not automatically mean that a specific robotic technique or robotic-assisted procedure is covered under PM-JAY. The hospital's Ayushman desk must verify the exact procedure and applicable package.

How to Check TORS Coverage

Before scheduling the surgery

1. Check whether you are an eligible PM-JAY beneficiary.

2. Search for a currently PM-JAY-empanelled hospital in your state and district.

3. Check whether the hospital has Surgical Oncology/Head and Neck Oncology services.

4. Show your biopsy and cancer reports to the hospital.

5. Tell the Ayushman desk that the oncologist has advised TORS.

6. Give them the exact name of the planned procedure.

7. Ask whether TORS/robotic-assisted surgery has an applicable PM-JAY package.
