Developed macular hole affecting my central vision badly - couldn't read or recognize faces clearly. Dr. Karthikeya explained that surgery was the only option and told me honestly about face-down positioning needed after surgery. Many doctors don't prepare you for recovery but he did. Surgery was successful and hole has closed. His attention to detail and honest communication deserve special mention. Very professional doctor.

Was having night blindness and tunnel vision since teenage but no doctor could diagnose. Finally met Dr. Karthikeya who suspected inherited retinal disease and ordered genetic testing. Diagnosis came as Retinitis Pigmentosa. While there's no cure, he explained everything honestly, connected me with support groups, and monitors regularly. Had wavy distorted vision due to membrane on retina. Dr. Karthikeya at Preet Vihar branch did membrane peeling surgery. I was very nervous as it was my first major surgery. Mujhe wet AMD tha aur aankh mein injection lena pada. Bahut darr lagta tha. Dr. Karthikeya ne pyaar se samjhaya ki injection kaise lagega aur dard nahi hoga. Ab tak 8 injection ho chuke hain aur meri nazr stable hai, aur kharab nahi hui. Wo hamesha Hindi mein samjhate hain aur time dete hain. Bahut achhe insaan hain doctor saab.

I am diabetic since 15 years and was referred to Dr. Karthikeya when my regular doctor found bleeding in retina. He did thorough examination with OCT and explained my condition using actual scan images. I needed laser treatment and injections over 6 months. Our baby was born at 27 weeks and NICU doctor referred us to Dr. Karthikeya for ROP screening. As new parents we were already very stressed. Dr. Karthikeya was so gentle with our tiny baby during examination. He detected ROP early and did laser treatment at right time. Now our son is 14 months old with healthy eyes! Had vitreous hemorrhage due to diabetes - couldn't see anything from left eye for 2 months. Other doctors said wait and watch but Dr. Karthikeya recommended vitrectomy after proper evaluation. He showed me videos explaining the surgery which really helped me understand. The operation went smoothly and when bandage was removed, I could see again! His surgical skills are outstanding. Woke up one day with sudden blurred vision. Dr. Karthikeya diagnosed retinal vein occlusion and started treatment immediately with injections. Over 10 months, I've had regular follow-ups and 5 injections. My vision improved from very poor to almost normal now. He always shows OCT scans and compares with previous ones so I can see improvement myself. His systematic approach and dedication is commendable. Best retina doctor I have met.
