Dr Ankur Garg is the Group Director and Head of the Institute of Liver Transplant and GI Surgery at Paras Health, Gurugram.

With over 24 years of surgical experience, he has performed more than 4,500 liver transplants with a 95% success rate, alongside 1,500 complex gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary (HPB) surgeries.

He is the first surgeon in India to achieve a recognised super-specialisation in liver transplantation alongside hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to surgical medicine and healthcare, he was formally honoured by the former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

He specialises in liver transplants for both adults and children from living and deceased donors, including complex transplants across incompatible blood groups and combined liver–kidney transplants.

Along with his practice in Gurugram, he regularly consults and treats patients across Patna and Panchkula.

Dr Ankur Garg completed a rigorous five-year super-specialisation residency at ILBS, New Delhi, training under Dr S K Sarin, one of the world's foremost liver disease experts.
