9. Check whether the hospital's PM-JAY empanelment is active and whether the required specialty is listed.

10. If the hospital is empanelled, visit the Ayushman Mitra/PM-JAY desk with your son's diagnosis and treatment plan. Ask them to confirm whether the exact brain-tumour treatment/package is covered and whether pre-authorisation is required. PM-JAY's hospital process includes beneficiary verification and, where required, pre-authorisation before treatment.

Why Hospital Not Accept the Ayushman Card?

Even when a hospital has some association with a government health scheme, the Ayushman card may not be accepted for every treatment. Possible reasons include :
