Ayushman Bharat Dialysis Package Rates : Cost, Coverage & Cashless Benefits Under PM-JAY

Under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), eligible beneficiaries can receive dialysis treatment free of cost at empanelled government and private hospitals. Patients do not have to pay for approved dialysis packages, as the hospital is reimbursed directly by the government according to the Health Benefit Package (HBP) rates.

What is Included in the Dialysis Package?

The approved dialysis package generally covers

• Dialysis procedure

• Dialysis machine charges

• Dialyzer and blood tubing

• AV fistula needles and other consumables

• Medicines required during dialysis (such as heparin and saline)

• Nursing care

• Day-care bed charges

• Routine investigations related to the dialysis session

• Doctor's consultation during the dialysis visit

Additional Kidney Care Covered

Depending on the patient's medical condition and the approved package, PM-JAY also cover

• AV Fistula creation surgery

• Dialysis catheter (Permcath) insertion, where applicable

• Management of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)

• Kidney transplant packages at empanelled hospitals, subject to eligibility and package approval

Important Conditions

• Treatment is available only at PM-JAY empanelled hospitals.

• The hospital must verify your Ayushman Card before starting treatment.

• Some procedures may require pre-authorisation from PM-JAY.

• Premium services or non-package items, if chosen voluntarily, not be covered.
