No. Routine OPD consultation for sciatica is generally not covered under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY. This includes a normal doctor consultation, routine check-up and medicines taken through OPD.
However, if the doctor finds a serious spine or nerve problem and advises an eligible hospitalisation or covered procedure, that treatment be covered under PM-JAY at an empanelled hospital, depending on the applicable package.
