Description
i got answered that VIMS vizag hospital not accepted ABHA card for general surgeries. why?
Dear N CHANDRA SEKHAR ji
The confusion is because an ABHA Card and an Ayushman Card are two different things.
ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is a digital health ID used mainly to link and manage health records. It is not an insurance card that automatically provides free or cashless treatment.
Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Card is the beneficiary card used by eligible beneficiaries to receive cashless treatment for covered packages at PM-JAY empanelled hospitals.
So, if VIMS Vizag told you that they do not accept the ABHA Card for general surgery, this does not necessarily mean that the hospital does not accept Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY.
VIMS Vizag is currently PM-JAY empanelled.
Go to the official PM-JAY Hospital Search.
Select State Andhra Pradesh.
Select District Visakhapatnam.
Select Hospital Type, if required.
Select the relevant Speciality, such as General Surgery.
In the hospital name enter Visakha Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS)
Fill in the Captcha.
Click Search.
Check whether the hospital is currently empanelled and whether the required speciality is listed.
Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY Card/e-card, if you have one
Aadhaar Card or valid government ID
Doctor's prescription/referral
All relevant medical reports
Blood-test reports
X-ray, ultrasound, CT/MRI or other reports, if applicable

Wishing you and your family good health always.
Warm regards,
Team HexaHealth
