Is stage 4 liver cancer a death and what are the treatment options?

Can Stage 4 Liver Cancer Be Treated?

Immunotherapy

Is Surgery or Liver Transplant Possible?

For most patients with widely advanced or metastatic stage 4 liver cancer, complete surgical removal or liver transplantation is generally not an option.

However, this needs to be assessed individually. In selected situations where the disease is limited or responds significantly to treatment, the multidisciplinary cancer team may reconsider whether a local procedure or surgery is appropriate.
