In April 2024, my mother was diagnosed with Bullous Pemphigoid — a severe, rare, and life-threatening condition. As someone raised by a single mother after losing our father in childhood, she is the most important person in my life. Facing such a critical diagnosis left us completely clueless and deeply worried about whether she would recover. By God’s grace, we were connected with Dr. Vaishali, an exceptionally professional, empathetic, knowledgeable, and experienced doctor. She advised admitting my mother under the supervision of Dr. Nilakshi. Together, these two senior doctors — along with their dedicated medical team — played a pivotal role in my mother’s recovery, which happened faster and more completely than we had dared to hope. Given my mother’s age and other health complications, both doctors were extremely careful, cautious, and considerate in their approach. I genuinely felt the personal care they extended towards her. Even though their individual schedules differed, they stayed in perfect coordination, ensuring my mother’s treatment was consistent and well-monitored. Our family is deeply grateful to both doctors for giving us our mother back in better health. She was hospitalized for about a month, followed by routine check-ups. Until May 2025, she remained on multiple medications, immunosuppressants, and half-yearly immunotherapy infusions. From our own research, we understood that recovery from this condition could take 2–5 years, depending on the body’s resilience and the patient’s willpower. My mother’s will was strong, but there were days when she struggled emotionally. On those days, both doctors offered not only medical care but also emotional support, which made a huge difference to all of us. Their approach was well-structured, disciplined, and closely monitored at every step. I also want to acknowledge Zen Hospital for their reasonable hospitalization charges and for having a supportive team that guided us through every process smoothly until discharge. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you, Dr. Vaishali, Dr. Nilakshi, and the entire Zen Hospital team. May you be blessed with health, happiness, prosperity, and longevity, and may you continue serving humanity for many years to come.
