Dr Vinod Kumar Jyothiprakasan is a Consultant General & Laproscopic Surgeon, Surgical Gastroenterology at Guru Nanak CARE Hospital, Musheerabad. He was associated with Al Sawai Poly Clinic in Oman, Maxcure Hospital in Hyderabad, and Malla Reddy Medical College for Women.

Dr Jyothiprakasan holds memberships and fellowships in prestigious surgical associations. He has been a life member of the Indian Medical Association and the Association of Surgeons of India since 2014. 

He is also a Fellow of the Association of Surgeons of India (FAIS), the Indian Association of Gastro-Endo Surgeons (FIAGES), and the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons (FMAS). Additionally, he is actively involved with IHPBA and AP-HPBA and serves as an executive member of the DCMS Alumni Association, a charitable organization for patient care and graduate education.

Dr Vinod Kumar presented a paper on a rare cystic neck lesion at APASICON and attended the prestigious 10th IHPBA World Congress in Paris, France. He regularly contributed to post-graduate teaching programs and seminars in the Department of General Surgery at Osmania General Hospital. His notable works include a study on blunt trauma abdomen focusing on liver injuries, published in the International Surgery Journal in 2019, and a clinical study on gastrointestinal stromal tumours.
