He played a significant role in initiating Bone Marrow Transplant Services at Tata Memorial Hospital (Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital), Varanasi.

Dr Sujeet Kumar worked as a Principal Investigator in multinational trials on Chronic Myeloid Leukemia therapy involving Nilotinib and Asciminib.

He has published multiple research papers and is also a reviewer for several renowned journals in the field of Haematology and Oncology.
