Can Dialysis Be Required?


A creatinine level of 1.7 mg/dL alone does not mean that dialysis is required. Dialysis is usually considered only in advanced kidney failure when kidney function becomes severely reduced or when serious complications such as fluid overload, high potassium levels, or severe symptoms develop.
