Dr Milind Kirtane is a Padma Shri-awarded ENT surgeon with 50 years of clinical experience currently consulting at P D Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre (Khar Facility), Breach Candy Hospital Trust, and Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai.

He has performed and mentored over 4000 cochlear implant surgeries and has helped establish more than 70 cochlear implant centres across India.

He was the first Indian elected to the Barany Society Sweden, the Founder President of the Sinus Endoscopic Society of India, and a Past President of AOI. He was the first to describe the surgical technique of Transnasal Vidian Neurectomy in 1984.
