Dr Sumanta Dey is a Consultant in Robotic, Advanced Laparoscopic, Bariatric and Gastrointestinal Surgery at Manipal Hospitals, EM Bypass, Kolkata, with over 17 years of experience in minimally invasive surgery, GI oncology, hernia repair, and bariatric surgery.

He is the founder of LWSK, Laparoscopy Workshop Kolkata, a surgical training initiative for basic and advanced laparoscopic techniques, and has served as national and international faculty at minimal access surgery conferences for over seven years, with surgical video presentations at SAGES 2023, Montreal and KSERS 2024, South Korea.
