Dr Debabrata Mukherjee is a highly experienced Neurosurgeon with over 37 years of experience. He is currently associated as a Consultant at Kailash Hospital, Khurja and Kailash Hospital, Sector 27.

He has previously at Vimhans Hospital where he also actively performed Gamma Knife surgeries, Artemis Health Institute and Toronto Western Hospital.

Dr Mukherjee completed his MBBS from Calcutta University, Kolkata in 1990. He later pursued:

• DNB in Neurosurgery from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi
• Fellowship in Surgical Neuro Oncology and Skull Base Surgery from the University of Toronto, Canada
• Fellowship in Complex Spine Surgery and CyberKnife from SUNY Upstate University, New York, USA

He received his foundational training in Neurosurgery under Prof B. Ramamurthi, the legendary neurosurgeon and widely regarded as the father of Neurosurgery in India.

Internationally, he worked with eminent neurosurgeons such as Prof F. Gentili, Prof Bernstein, and Prof Abhijit Guha, gaining vast exposure to complex neurosurgical cases.

With exceptional surgical expertise, Dr Mukherjee has successfully performed more than 4,000 neurosurgical procedures in India and Canada, along with around 100 Gamma Knife surgeries.

He has several research publications and textbook chapters published in reputed international platforms including Elsevier. His clinical research on Low Grade Glioma (brain tumour) was nominated for an award by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), USA.

Dr Mukherjee is also a committed academician and teacher. He has been actively involved in teaching medical and paramedical students in India and abroad and was nominated as Best Teacher in Toronto.

He regularly participates as a speaker and faculty member in seminars, CMEs, and academic forums.
