Frequently Asked Questions

Myths vs facts

Myth 1: Procedures such as labiaplasty or vaginoplasty are performed to please men

Fact: Women seek female genital surgery for many reasons, but rarely to please a partner. Excessive tissue of the labia or loose vaginal muscles can cause moderate to severe discomfort, so these procedures help in removing tissues to increase comfort under clothing and during intercourse.

Myth 2: Vaginal rejuvenation is painful

Fact: The recovery from female genital surgery is short and often pain-free. Most women are back at work within a couple of days, however sexual activity needs to be postponed for 6 weeks.
