Dr Uday Pawar received his MBBS degree from Dr V M Medical College Solapur, Maharashtra- India. Following that, he completed his Diploma in Orthopedics - Post Graduate Institute of Swasthiyog Pratishthan, Miraj, Maharashtra.

Further, Dr Pawar earned a DNB in Orthopaedics from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, Kerala. He received his fellowship training as a Spine Surgeon from P D Hinduja National Hospital, Mumbai. Apart from this education and training, he also was an Assistant Dartmouth Spine Fellow at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, USA.

Dr Pawar has also participated in research work and various workshops. In the Journal of Arthroplasty, he published 'Scintigraphic Assessment Of Patellar Viability In Total Knee Arthroplasty After Lateral Release’. Other than this, ‘Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis Of The Spine. Is It The Beginning Of The End?’ and ‘Major Vessel Injury With Cage Migration: Surgical Complication In A Case Of Spondylodiscitis' are his two more papers.

He has 10 peer-reviewed national and international publications and 4 chapters. Dr UM Pawar is an article reviewer for the well-known journal SPINE. He is also an invited faculty member for live surgical demonstrations and spine conferences nationally.
