Dr Bhat gained international experience in Bone Marrow Transplantation at the Kuwait Cancer Control Centre, where he worked extensively in lymphoma and BMT and also served as faculty for MRCP Haematology and Pathology at Kuwait University.

Throughout his academic career, he is a recognised faculty for DNB Oncology and DNB Medical programmes in Mumbai.

Currently, he is a mentor for MSc and PhD students in Applied Biology, as well as the Fellowship in Medical Oncology under MUHS for Mumbai University.

He has authored several research papers, books, and book chapters and continues to contribute to academic forums and scientific meetings.
