Dr Sarita Rao is a distinguished Consultant, specializing in Cardiology, with over 29 years of clinical experience. She currently practices at Apollo Hospital, Indore in Indore.

Throughout her career, Dr Rao has been associated with esteemed institutions such as Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, managing a wide array of complex medical cases.

A trailblazer in interventional cardiology, Dr Rao holds several first-in-India and first-in-region milestones. She is the first female cardiologist in India to implant a Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffold, the first female to perform a Live TAVI case in SAARC countries, and has executed the first successful IMPELLA surgery in Central India.

She is also the first female in India to perform Shockwave Lithotripsy (IVL), has conducted the first Hybrid procedure for Aortic Aneurysm in Central India, completed the first successful dedicated bifurcation stenting using the AXESS device in India, and achieved the first-ever LIVE transmission from Madhya Pradesh at a national conference.
