He has received higher training in M D Anderson Hospital, Houston, Texas, under a World Health Organisation fellowship and thereafter - Long Beach Memorial Cancer Centre, Long Beach, California. He has worked in many reputed hospitals as Dean in Academics and Professor in Dept. of Radiotherapy and Oncology, AIIMS, New Delhi. He was the former  President of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (Northern Chapter).
