Dr Shabber Zaveri is Chairman, Head of Department, and Consultant in Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery at Manipal Hospital, Old Airport Road, and Manipal Hospital, Jayanagar, Bengaluru, with 34 years of experience in oncoplastic breast surgery, HIPEC, head and neck oncology, gastrointestinal malignancy, and thoracic tumour resections.

He founded the Department of Surgical Oncology at Manipal Hospital in 2002, pioneered Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy and ROLL for breast cancer in India, was among the first in India to perform Minimally Invasive Radio-Guided Parathyroid surgery, and launched the HIPEC programme at Manipal Hospital in 2013, establishing multiple national firsts in surgical oncology.
