Dr Shirish Alurkar is a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist in Ahmedabad with 42 years of clinical experience.

He is among the first medical oncologists to have established a private oncology practice in Gujarat, having done so in 1992.

He is also credited with introducing and advancing the use of port-catheters for venous access in India, a development that significantly improved chemotherapy delivery for cancer patients across the country.

His clinical focus includes the systemic management of gastrointestinal, urological, and lung cancers using chemotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, and immunotherapy.
