Dr V Ravishankar is a well-known CTVS Surgeon associated with Lilavati Hospital And Research Centre. He has 38 years of experience in adult and paediatric cardiothoracic surgery and has worked as an expert cardiothoracic surgeon in different cities of India. 

Lt Gen Dr V Ravishankar has treated around 150 cases annually. He is known for his attention to accurate diagnosis and for treating patients empathetically. He also served in Sri Lanka as General Surgeon in the “Indian Peace Keeping Force” between 1989 and 1990. He gained experience as a trauma care surgeon and performed with distinction.

1. GOC-in-C (WC) Commendation Card (2007) peacetime medal by the Army Commander distinguished professional and military services to the nation.
2. He received the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card (2013) medal from the Army Chief for a very high order of distinguished professional and military services to the nation.
3. He was also awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) by the President of India (2011) for his exceptional professional achievements & devotion to duty while serving the nation in the Army Medical Corps.
