Dr. Parnamita Bhattacharya ---- I am short of words to express my gratitude to her. The way she handled the Uterus removal surgery (Hysterectomy) for my wife, it’s just remarkable. I would like to share my experience in the entire ordeal, if this may help any other patients who might be in search of similar treatment. After doing a Trans Vaginal Sonography (TVS) test for my wife, we got to know about presence of several tumors of various sizes. Consulting various Gynecologists, it was confirmed that we need to go for complete Uterus removal surgery. Also got to know that the post-surgical recovery phase might be quite painful and with lots of restrictions for a considerable period of time. In order to reduce the post-surgical trauma, we were searching for a Gynecologist Surgeon in Kolkata who is skilled and experienced in Robotic Surgery. But to my utmost surprise, I found as per the various reviews, it seems that there aren’t too many Dr. in Kolkata who are that skilled and experienced in Robotic surgery, neither too many hospitals have that facility. Even few of my friends who themselves are doctors, they too suggested we better go to Pune or further down South if we opt for a Robotic surgical procedure. Out of my tireless searches in web world, I came across a post in a social media platform about a success story where I got to know about Dr. Parmamita Bhattachya’s achievements and count of Robotic surgeries which seemed decent number, so decided to consult her at her chamber in Sothern Diagnostics in South Kolkata. Discussing our problems with her we found she is a perfect blend of good human being and a highly professional and experienced doctor. Most humble and polite and of course quite capable and competent in Robotic surgical procedure. She takes time to listen and ensures all doubts are addressed properly. Eventually my wife got the surgery done in CMRI hospital under Dr. Parnamita where is a Sr. Consultant in their panel of regular Doctors in Gynecology and Obstetrician dept. No wonder, her caring and professional approach made our entire journey very easy and quite comfortable. Even the post-surgical support that we got from her is also highly appreciable. Most importantly the assurance she provided about less pain, quicker recovery, in Robotic Surgery, that indeed was fully delivered and fulfilled as promised. Moner kotha bhabe bujhte perechilam je ami safe haat e achi meaning I felt in safe hands. Improvement started within few weeks and follow ups were helpful
