I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the treatment my baby received from Dr. Poonam at her clinic. Despite multiple visits, Dr. Poonam showed no recollection of my child or our previous interactions. I had chosen her clinic due to its proximity to my home, but my experience has been far from satisfactory. Previous encounters were unpleasant, with Dr. Poonam being rude and reclusive. However, I continued to visit her clinic, hoping for better care. During our last visit, I informed Dr. Poonam that my baby had a fever and cold for two days, and her vaccination was due. Despite this, she administered the vaccination without consideration for my child's condition. When my baby's fever worsened after the vaccination, I contacted Dr. Poonam who responded curtly and inaccurately, stating that I had not informed her about the fever before opening the vaccine seal. When I asked for guidance on what to do next, Dr. Poonam callously suggested taking my baby to Fortis Hospital, demonstrating a lack of concern for our well-being. I am sharing this experience to warn other parents about Dr. Poonam’s behavior. It's worth noting that I am not concerned about consultation fees. If Dr. Poonam had informed me that my baby's vaccination needed to be postponed, I would have paid the fees and returned later. Her actions suggest a prioritization of financial gain over patient care, which is unacceptable.
