Dr. Prerna Lakhwani

A specialist in Surgical Oncology with a rich experience of over 23 years is currently working in Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh. Her expertise lies in endometrium cancer, minimally invasive surgery in gynaecological malignancy management, Sentinel lymph node mapping, and Preventive oncology. She received training and accreditation in gynaecologic oncology from the TATA Memorial Hospital in Mumbai and the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute Research Center in New Delhi. She completed her clinical observational programme at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She then paved her training route to the Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea. At AIIMS, Delhi, she received training in gynaecologic laparoscopic surgery. She received training in preventative oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. Also, she is a trained Gynae sonologist. She has handled numerous complex medical cases and is known for attention to detail, accurate diagnosis and treating patients with empathy.
