Our experience with Venkateshwar Hospital and Dr. P.K. Gupta was extremely disappointing and frustrating. My s I, Sonia Vashishtha, underwent surgery for gallbladder stones with the expectation of relief from her persistent pain. However, post-surgery, we were shockingly informed that the stone had not been removed due to an infection inside the gallbladder—a critical detail that was never disclosed to us prior to the surgery, despite undergoing all suggested diagnostic tests at the same hospital. This lack of communication and transparency was alarming, and we felt utterly misled. To add to our frustration, the surgery was left incomplete, yet we were still charged approximately ₹93,000 for a procedure that failed to address the issue. Furthermore, additional fees were imposed for doctor consultations both before and after the surgery, despite no tangible improvement in my sister’s condition. We were also billed for every single item used, including an unreasonable amount for the treatment room and even the bandages used for removing stitches and the drain pipe. The experience has left us feeling that both the doctor and the hospital are more focused on financial gain than patient care. This entire ordeal has been not only emotionally exhausting but also financially draining. The lack of ethical treatment and accountability from the medical staff has eroded our trust, and I would not recommend Venkateshwar Hospital or Dr. P.K. Gupta to anyone seeking honest, competent, and compassionate healthcare.
