Dr. Ashutosh Kumar

With 22 years of experience, Dr Ashutosh Kumar is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Clinical Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) at CARE Hospitals, HITEC City, Hyderabad and CARE Hospitals, Bhubaneswar. He has worked at Continental Hospital, Hyderabad and CARE Hospitals, Hyderabad. 

He was a faculty member for undergraduate MBBS students at the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), BHU Varanasi. Dr Ashutosh was in a teaching position at the Institute of Postgraduate and Education Research (IPGMER), Kolkata, and was an assistant professor of cardiology at GSL Medical College, Rajahmundry. He then finished his MD at the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi, in 2006. He completed his DM at the Institute of Postgraduate and Education Research, University of Health Sciences, Kolkata, in 2009.

His commitment to advancing his expertise led him to achieve Fellowships from the American College of Cardiology (FACC) in 2011 and the European Society for Cardiology (FESC) in 2014. He also holds a Fellowship from the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI) in 2015. He completed a postdoctoral-certified course in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the National Heart Institute, Malaysia, in 2016.

His biography was selected for inclusion in the prestigious 2011-2012 (8th Edition) of Marquis Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare. He presented a research paper on "PET CT in the detection of response rate of CRT in patients with Nonischemic Dilated Cardiomyopathy" at the APHRS 2017 conference in Yokohama, Japan.

He also presented "Spontaneous Coronary Dissection Type D: A Case Series Observed in Male Painters" at the ACC 2011 in New Orleans, USA. Furthermore, he shared his findings on "Upper Extremities Thrombosis Following Pacemaker Implantation" at the CSI 2009 conference in Kochi.
