Dr Rahul Kanaka obtained his MBBS degree from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College in Gulbarga in 2004. He completed an MS in General Surgery from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hubli, in 2009. Further honing his skills in cancer treatment, he earned an MCh in Surgical Oncology from the prestigious Cancer Institute (WIA), Chennai, in 2013. He then specialized in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Oncosurgery by obtaining a fellowship from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad, in 2015.

He is a registered member of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI). In 2016, he received the prestigious Robotic Scholar Award for his expertise in surgical oncology, particularly robotic surgery.
