About Dr Aratrika Das

Dr Das completed her postgraduate training in the Respiratory Department at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, and went on to serve as Registrar in both the Respiratory and Air Pollution departments there. This foundation gave her hands-on expertise across tuberculosis, COPD, interventional bronchoscopy, and sleep medicine.

She spent two years in a fully equipped Intensive Respiratory Care Unit with eight volume-cycled ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps, and has independently set up such units from the ground up.

Her time at a 500-bed Tuberculosis Hospital gave her rare first-hand expertise in managing TB at scale. She has also supervised multiple drug trials at a large referral centre in Mumbai and regularly delivers lectures at national and international conferences as a recognised national faculty member.

Given the strong clinical correlation between asthma and allergy, Dr Das expanded her clinic's scope in April 2021 and renamed it Kolkata Chest and Allergy Clinic, making it a single destination for end-to-end chest and allergy care.
