In our experience, Dr. Pamecha and his team did not spend adequate time on proper patient assessment and appeared unwilling to decline transplant cases, even when risks were significant. Consultations were extremely brief—reports reviewed in under a minute—before strongly recommending a transplant with a quoted 80% success rate. Post-surgery, Dr. Pamecha was minimally involved in patient management or in communicating with the family. Complications were attributed solely to the patient’s body “not responding,” without clear explanations of causes or treatment strategies. We lost a 55-year-old woman who entered ILBS for a transplant walking, smiling, and physically active, but never returned home. Her hospital stay was painful from day one, and basic questions—such as the type of infection, how it was acquired, and how it was being controlled—went unanswered. I would not recommend Dr. Pamecha to anyone. Always consult multiple doctors and choose someone who is honest and willing to devote the time needed to understand your case. In my view, individuals like Dr. Pamecha may proceed with risky transplants without disclosing the actual survival chances, simply to meet targets.
