Dr GSS Mohapatra is a well-known Obstetrician and Gynaecologist currently associated with Ankura Hospital for Women and Children, Bapuji Nagar and Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar in Bhubaneswar. He has 27 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and worked as an expert Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in different cities in India.

Doctor GSS Mohapatra has contributed to handling numerous complex medical cases in several hospitals. He is known for his attention to accurate diagnosis and for treating patients empathetically.

He is the Odisha & Eastern India's First (BENIGN) Gynaec Robotic Surgeon on Da Vinci & vNOTES Surgeon. He performed Odisha's 1st microwave ablation in 2024 and till date the Only microwave ablation expert in the state.

Dr G S S Mohapatra did his MBBS from the University Of Calcutta in 1998. He also completed his MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Sambalpur University in 2005. He has also participated in research work and various workshops under the obstetrics and Gynaecology department and published many papers.

He pursued a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgical Oncology under the guidance of Dr. Robert Zurawin from AAGL, USA, and Dr. Sailesh Puntambekar, India’s pioneer in uterine transplantation surgery.

He has been awarded in 2025 by Honourable Governor of Odisha His excellency Dr Haribabu Kambhampati , Anu Garg IAS and Padmashree Dr Ashok Mohapatra for compassionate care , healing and transforming lives of endometriosis patients in eastern India today. He was also awarded with Awarded ET Inspiring Leaders East 2022 award at Kolkata,2022 from the hands of Mr Nick Loy ,British Deputy High Commissioner.
