She has participated in extensive research work, cadaveric studies, and clinical outcome assessments, with research focusing on hydroxyapatite use in nasal sill deformities, donor site healing in skin grafts, elastic bandages in post burn contracture prevention, and comparative studies of pedicled versus free flaps.

She has also contributed to clinical innovations such as FAMM flap in intraoral reconstruction, hemithigh flaps, and submental flaps for chest wall and orofacial reconstruction.

Dr Shetty has presented papers at several national and international conferences and was a Guest Speaker at the 9th Asian Pacific Congress of the International Confederation of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

She also participated in the AO Craniomaxillofacial Fixation Workshop in Davos, Switzerland, and completed
