• Fellowship in Hip and Knee Replacement and Reconstructive Surgery from Endoklinik, Hamburg, Germany
• Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Joint Replacement Surgery in Germany
• Fellowship training at Endoklinik, Hamburg, under the mentorship of Dr Wolfgang Klauser and Prof Dr Thorsten Gehrke

He has also served as a Surgical Lecturer at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, mentoring young orthopaedic surgeons in joint replacement and reconstructive techniques.

Dr Sinukumar has successfully performed over 5,000 joint replacement surgeries, including more than 1,000 robotic surgeries. He has treated over 100,000 patients with a patient recovery satisfaction rate of 95%.

He has actively participated in research work and has published multiple papers in reputed journals. His notable research contributions include:

• Post-traumatic arthritic stiff knee in a malunited distal femur fracture treated with total knee arthroplasty–a case report
• Case report on “Single Stage Bilateral Total Knee Arthroplasty in a Patient with G6PD Deficiency

He has also co authored the chapter “Current Trends in Total Knee Arthroplasty” in Maharashtra Orthopaedic Yearly Journal 2009.

Dr S Bhaskaran has received several prestigious awards, including:

• Best Paper Award at the 3rd Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons, New Delhi, 2009
  
• Best Paper Award at MOACON, Nashik, 2010

He is also a Founder Member of the Personalized Alignment Club and played a key role in organizing the first Personalized Alignment Meeting in Pune.

His specialization in alternative alignment techniques such as kinematic alignment and functional alignment has significantly improved outcomes in joint replacement surgeries.

He is an active member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
