Dr P Jagannath is a highly distinguished and pioneering Surgical Oncologist in Mumbai with 48 years of extensive clinical experience in hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgery, surgical oncology, advanced liver surgery, and comprehensive cancer surgical care.

Dr Jagannath is a globally recognised pioneer who initiated Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic (HPB) Surgery in India in 1985, has performed the highest number of pancreatic surgeries including Whipple's operations in the country, introduced staplers in gastrointestinal cancer treatment, and was elected President of the International Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association (IHPBA) at its 10th World Congress in 2012, becoming the first Indian to hold this prestigious position.

Dr P Jagannath currently serves as a Senior Consultant at Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, Bandra West, Chief of Surgical Oncology at S L Raheja Fortis Hospital, Mahim West, and Director at Continental Hospital, Nanakaramguda. He has published 81 research articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals, contributed 10 chapters to standard medical textbooks, established the Indian Chapter of IHPBA in 2000, and founded the non-profit "Crusade Against Cancer Foundation" in 2001 for cancer awareness and patient support.
