Throughout his academic journey and professional career, he has made significant contributions to research and academic development.

He was awarded the Best Case Presenter award at the Asia Pacific Pediatric Cardiac Society Conference held in New Delhi in 2014.

He was part of the team that performed the first successful fetal cardiac intervention in India.

He also contributed to conducting the first national workshop dedicated to transcatheter VSD closure.

He has also been involved in ECG, ECHO and cardiac transcatheter interventional workshops aimed at training cardiologists and paediatricians.

Dr S Verma is an active member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP).
