Dr G Ananta Ram is a highly accomplished Radiologist and Neuroimaging and Interventional Radiology specialist in Hyderabad.

With over 23 years of experience, he is currently associated as the HOD and Senior Consultant at KIMS Hospital, Kondapur and KIMS Sunshine Hospital.

• MD in Radiology from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad in 2008
  
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, United Kingdom in 2010
  
• DM in Neuroimaging and Interventional Radiology from NIMHANS, Bangalore in 2013
  

Throughout his academic journey, he demonstrated exceptional merit. He was a batch topper in MBBS and received Gold Medals in Medicine (Dr Srinivasan Gold Medal) and Surgery (Dr V K Sarma Gold Medal).

He was also awarded the:

• Best Outgoing Student Award in MBBS and secured State 1st Rank in the Postgraduate Medical Entrance Examination
• DM training at NIMHANS, he received the prestigious Golden Jubilee Gold Medal.
• Awarded Best Paper in Neuroradiology in the Neurochallenge Competition in 2013
• Vaidya Siromani Award in Radiology in 2023
• Best Radiology Teacher Award by ANBAI AP and TS in 2023
  

Dr Ananta Ram further enhanced his expertise through international exposure and fellowships. He was awarded Fellowship in Neuroimaging at Leiden University Medical Center, Netherlands in 2014.

He also received international travel grants for Neurointervention Conference in Hong Kong in 2016 and LINNC Conference in Singapore in 2018.

He has vast procedural experience and has successfully performed more than 5000 cerebral vascular procedures, including cerebral angiograms, aneurysm coiling, embolization of AVM and DAVF, stroke thrombectomy, intracranial stenting, carotid stenting, and spinal vascular procedures.

He has also performed more than 100 advanced neurovascular procedures using the latest flow diverter devices introduced after 2022.

Dr Ananta has made significant contributions to academic research and medical education. He has authored more than 30 publications in national and international journals and contributed chapters to textbooks in neurosciences.

He is a Principal Investigator in clinical research projects and serves as Program Director for DNB Radiology and fellowship training programs in Neuroradiology.

He is also an External Examiner for Post Doctoral Fellowship courses and National Examiner for ICRI Fellowship in Interventional Radiology.

He is an active member of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA).

He is regularly invited as faculty and speaker at national and international conferences such as AP APICON, IRIA National Conference, KSR IRIA International Symposium, SIGN International Conference, and NoALCON Conference.

He has also delivered prestigious gold medal orations and serves as a judge, mentor, and academic guide for radiology trainees.
