Dr Gurava Reddy did his DNB in Orthopaedics from Sancheti Institute For Orthopaedics And Rehabilitation, Pune, in 1990 and an MCh in Orthopaedics from the University of Liverpool, UK, in 1994. He also completed a Trauma And Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, in 2009.

In 2010, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri K Rosiayyah, felicitated him for his outstanding services in Orthopaedics.
