Dr Intezar Mehdi is an experienced Paediatric Haematologist, Oncologist, and Bone Marrow Transplant specialist in Bangalore with 28 years of clinical experience in childhood blood cancers, solid tumours, inherited blood disorders, and bone marrow transplantation.

He currently serves as Director and HOD at HCG Cancer Centre.

Dr Mehdi has extensive expertise in managing childhood leukaemias, lymphomas, solid tumours, and complex haematological disorders. He is known for his evidence-based clinical approach, compassionate patient care, and strong commitment to advancing paediatric oncology in India.

Dr Intezar Mehdi provides expert care for children with a wide range of cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma, brain tumours, bone tumours, kidney tumours, neuroblastoma, sarcomas, and histiocytosis syndromes. He manages approximately 100 paediatric oncology cases every year.

Blood Disorders in Children

He provides comprehensive management of inherited and acquired blood disorders in children including thalassaemia, sickle cell anaemia, haemophilia, ITP, platelet disorders, AIHA, and other bleeding and anaemia-related conditions.

Bone Marrow Transplantation

Dr Mehdi is well versed in performing autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants for children with haematological malignancies, solid tumours, thalassaemia, and aplastic anaemia.
